My Twitter archive

I got my twitter archive yesterday. I was waiting for it ever since they announced about the archive of individual’s tweets. I wanted to see my first ever tweet! I do not always use twitter web. So, I don’t know when my account got archive option. But when I visited settings page yesterday, there was this button, “Request your archive

I did hit the Request your archive button and within a couple of minutes I got an email with a link to zipball of my twitter archive. I downloaded tweets.zip and extracted files. It had an index.html and some other related files like JSON for developers and CSV to export tweets into other applications. I opened up index.html and it showed a monthly archive of my tweets.

I was very excited to see my first tweet. I thought it was some “Hello, world!”, “Hello, people” or “Good morning”. But not! Well, here is my first tweet. See it yourself! I posted this way back in November 2009.

Have you got your twitter archive yet? If not, go to your twitter settings page and there might be the magic button to download all of your tweets!

Wayanad is a great place to visit, BTW. :-)

Pretty cool, I had heard about that before, but didn’t know when it would come out. I will check it out, thank you.
