So, what’s wrong with Adblock Plus?

Ever since Google introduced the Gmail new look, I’m facing a problem in reading emails. Whenever I enable Adblock Plus extension in my firefox browser, it blocks all content in the mail. Thus it is acting as a screen between me and my mails. :-(. Look at the below picture. I took this one when Adblock Plus was enabled.

But this problem goes away as I disable the plugin. To prove this, I’m giving you another picture that I took after disabling Adblock plus extension.

Now I can read mails after disabling Adblock Plus.

I’m having this problem not only with Gmail new look, the same problem arises while using old interface too. I’ve taken screen shots of my gmail interface before and after disabling Adblock plus extension.

Hmm.. Adblock plus is the headache.. Isn't it?

Well, you can say that the problem is with my browser or OS. But I checked it with various OS and browser combinations like “Ubuntu11.04-Firefox7.0.1” – “Ubuntu11.10-Firefox8” – “WindowsXP-Firefox7.0.1” – “Windows7-Firefox8” etc. But the results are same. So, my question is “What’s wrong with Adblock Plus?

Update: After publishing this post, I observed that Gmail’s new page layout is causing this problem. So I updated all subscriptions in Adblock plus. That trick worked! Now I’m able to view my mails again!
